Cookies and Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, for example which pages are visited and how often. It uses cookies for these visit statistics.
Google Analytics cookies are only used if you agree. When you first visit, a bar at the bottom of the screen asks you to Accept or Decline. Until you accept, no Google Analytics cookies are set. Your choice is remembered in your browser, and you can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Member login also uses one necessary session cookie that keeps members signed in. This cookie isn’t used for analytics and doesn’t need your consent.
Member accounts
If you create a member account, we store:
- your name and username
- your email address and mobile number
- your shipping address
- your avatar
- your order history
Your password is never stored as you typed it: we only keep a hashed (scrambled) version of it.
Buying a stone requires a free member account. Anyone can browse the catalogue without one.
Your cart
Your cart is saved in your own browser (local storage). It isn’t sent to us until you check out.
Enquiry form
When you send an enquiry, what you type in the form is sent to FormSubmit, a third-party form service, which delivers it to our email.
Payments
Payments are processed by PayPal. We don’t see or store your card details.
Google Ads purchase measurement
To measure whether our Google ads lead to sales, when you complete a purchase your browser sends Google Ads a single conversion ping with the order value, the currency and the PayPal transaction ID. It contains no name, email, address or other account details. We don’t use Google Ads cookies or ad personalisation for this. Nothing is sent to Google Ads if you declined cookies on our cookie bar or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. See Google’s privacy policy.
Trustpilot reviews widget
Our home page, stone pages and policy pages show a Trustpilot widget so buyers can review us. To show it, your browser loads a script and a small frame from Trustpilot (widget.trustpilot.com). Trustpilot receives your IP address and basic browser information, and counts how often the widget is shown. We don’t send Trustpilot any of your account, cart or order details. If you write a review, you do that on Trustpilot’s own site. See Trustpilot’s privacy policy.
How we use your information
We use your information only to process your orders and to run your account. We don’t sell it.
Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your data at any time. Just email us at [email protected] or send us a message on WhatsApp.
Security and hosting
Our website is protected by Cloudflare and hosted with a web hosting provider.
